Description
The Central Plant Controller [CCI] is a device capable of acquiring real-time measurements of the electrical parameters of an electricity generation plant and transmitting them to the distributor [DSO], thereby promoting grid balancing.
With Resolution 385/2025/r/EEL, the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment [ARERA] establishes real-time monitoring of production plants with a capacity greater than or equal to 100 kW connected to Medium Voltage [MV]. To comply, plant owners must install a Central Plant Controller (CCI), a device that, when applied at the delivery point, acquires direct measurements on the plant’s performance and transmits them to the distributor (DSO) via the IEC 61850 protocol.
Azur Energia, through its partnership with Ailux, offers a complete and integrated solution that fully complies with the new provisions of ARERA Resolution 385/2025/R/EEL for plants above 100 kW.
The offer is designed to ensure regulatory compliance, technical reliability, and ease of implementation, minimizing installation time and optimizing long-term system management.
The proposed solution consists of the following points:
Supply of the pre-wired CCI panel, which includes:
• Ailux CCI compliant with the resolution;
• Class 0.5 multimeter;
• Integrated media converter;
• Dedicated power supply;
Supply of the DDI status acquisition module and/or active power of individual inverters, particularly useful in cases where energy generation is located at a considerable distance from the CCI.
Supply of openable/closed amperometric transformers (TA), installable on the MV side, to allow quick installation without the need to disconnect the system.
Supply of voltmeter transformers (VT) available in multiple solutions (loose, on plate, or in box) to meet all system and space requirements.
Remote commissioning service, which allows for rapid functional verification of the installation and commissioning, without the need for physical supervision.
Technical assistance with installation (remote and/or on-site), with direct support for technicians to ensure correctness and compliance with ARERA requirements.
Mandatory annual service fee, which includes CCI communication management and ongoing support for the entire duration of the regulatory obligation.
The fee ensures full compliance with current regulations, guaranteeing an annual uptime of at least 98%.
To achieve this goal, daily activities are carried out remotely, including:
• performing diagnostics to promptly detect alarms or anomalies (first-level support provided by Azur);
• periodic firmware updates;
• updating and managing cryptographic keys.
